Choose the technique

Three techniques. The right one depends on your scalp, not the price list.

Any clinic that recommends a technique before seeing your donor area is selling, not advising. Here is the honest comparison — then let our surgeon tell you which one your head actually needs.

FUE

FUE

£1,750 – £2,600vs £5,000 – £8,500 in the UK

Follicular units are extracted one by one with a micro-punch and placed into channels opened beforehand. The workhorse technique — highest graft volume in a single session and the lowest cost per graft.

Best suited to
Large areas, crown coverage, up to ~4,500 grafts

DHI

DHI

£2,200 – £3,200vs £6,000 – £10,000 in the UK

A Choi implanter pen opens the channel and places the graft in one movement. Grafts spend less time outside the body and can be threaded between existing hairs — which is why it is the technique of choice for a receding hairline you do not want shaved.

Best suited to
Hairlines, density between existing hair, women

Sapphire FUE

Sapphire FUE

£2,000 – £2,900vs £5,500 – £9,000 in the UK

FUE performed with sapphire-tipped blades rather than steel. The channels are narrower and smoother, which means less tissue trauma, denser packing and visibly faster scab clearance.

Best suited to
High-density work, faster healing, fine hair

Prices are all-inclusive of surgery, hospital, hotel, transfers, interpreter and medication, and vary with the graft count agreed after assessment. UK figures are typical private clinic ranges published in 2026, shown for orientation.

Why the gap is this large

  1. 01

    Cost base, not corner-cutting

Clinic rent, salaries and insurance in Istanbul run at a fraction of London's. The punches, blades and sterile consumables are the same certified products.

  2. 02

    Volume

A busy Istanbul surgeon performs more hair cases in a month than most UK clinics do in a year. Fixed costs are spread across far more procedures.

  3. 03

    No insurance layer

Elective cosmetic surgery is self-pay everywhere, but the UK carries far higher indemnity, regulatory and marketing overheads per case.

  4. 04

    Exchange rate

Costs are incurred in Turkish lira and quoted to you in pounds. We fix your price in sterling so currency movement is our risk, not yours.

Local price figures are mid-points of published private-clinic ranges for a 2,500-graft consultant-performed session in 2026 and are indicative only. They are shown for orientation, not as a quotation for any named clinic. Your own price is fixed in writing after assessment.

Before you book anything

Are you actually a good candidate?

A hair transplant moves hair; it does not create it. If the answer to these is mostly yes, the odds are strongly in your favour. If not, we will tell you — and we would rather lose the booking than give you a result you regret.

Let us talk before you spend anything.

Several answers suggest surgery may not be the right step yet. Medical treatment first is often the better call, and we will say so.

Send photos for an honest assessment

This is an orientation tool, not a medical assessment. Only a qualified surgeon reviewing your scalp can tell you whether surgery is appropriate.

What actually happens next

The honest timeline — including the month it looks worse.

Almost nobody tells you about shock loss. Around week three the transplanted hairs fall out and you look, briefly, as though nothing happened. It is normal, it is temporary, and knowing it is coming is the difference between calm and panic.

  1. Day 0

    Procedure day

Six to eight hours under local anaesthetic, with breaks and lunch. You are awake, you can talk, and you go back to the hotel the same evening.

  2. Days 1–3

    Swelling and first wash

Forehead swelling peaks around day two and settles by day four. Your first medicated wash is done at the clinic so you learn the technique properly.

  3. Days 7–10Back to work

    Scabs clear

Crusting lifts with gentle washing. This is the point most people feel comfortable being seen again and can return to desk work.

  4. Weeks 3–6Expect this

    Shock loss

The transplanted hairs shed. The follicles beneath them are alive and dormant — this is the normal cycle, not a failure. Almost everyone finds this the hardest month.

  5. Months 3–5

    New growth starts

Fine, wispy hairs appear. Density is uneven and that is expected — follicles do not wake up in unison.

  6. Months 6–9

It starts to look like hair

Roughly 60–70% of the final result. Hairs thicken, texture normalises, and you can cut and style it as usual.

  7. Months 12–18Final review

    Final result

Full density and maturity. This is the point at which we photograph your result and, with your consent, publish it.

What we do at each stage

  • Day 10 — photo review by your surgeon
  • Month 3 — shock-loss check and reassurance call
  • Month 6 — density review against the plan
  • Month 12 — final assessment and written sign-off

Hair transplant questions

What people ask before they commit.

Short, direct answers. If yours is not here, message us — a coordinator replies, not a bot.

It depends on the area you want covered and the density of your donor region, not on what you would like to spend. As a rough guide: a receding hairline is often 1,500–2,500 grafts; hairline plus mid-scalp 2,500–3,500; adding crown coverage 3,500–4,500. Anyone quoting a number before seeing photographs is guessing.
