Choose the treatment
Most dental tourism problems come from over-treatment — twenty crowns fitted where four veneers and a whitening would have done. We ask our clinics to quote the minimum intervention that achieves the result, and we will tell you when a plan looks excessive.

A titanium fixture placed into the jaw, left to integrate for three to four months, then restored with a crown on a second trip. Straight-to-crown same-week implants exist but are appropriate for far fewer people than the marketing suggests.

Ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of the tooth after minimal preparation. Done properly this removes very little enamel; done badly it removes most of the tooth. Ask what percentage is being reduced — we do.

Full-coverage restorations milled from zirconia — stronger than porcelain and suited to back teeth and heavy bites. Appropriate where a tooth is structurally compromised, not as a shortcut to a whiter smile.

London private practices, 10 porcelain veneers with lab work
UK practices outsource milling and pay a lab margin on every unit. Our partner clinics mill and glaze in-house, which removes both the cost and the two-week wait.
The zirconia blocks, the bonding systems and the implant brands are the same certified products used in London. What differs is the rent, the salaries and the insurance.
A UK smile design is spread over six to ten appointments across months. Ours is completed in one concentrated week, which removes a great deal of chair-time overhead.
We are paid the same whether you have four veneers or twenty. That is deliberate — it is the only way our advice on scope can be trusted.

What actually happens
The single biggest cause of bad dental tourism outcomes is compressing a fortnight of clinical work into three days to fit a cheap flight. Here is the schedule we insist on instead.
Before you flyRemote
You send a panoramic x-ray, or we arrange one in the UK. The prosthodontist reviews it and issues a written plan, so nothing is decided under pressure in a chair in a foreign country.
Day 1You approve first
Full clinical exam, intraoral scan and a digital smile design. You see a rendered preview of the proposed result and you approve or change it before anything is prepared.
Day 2
Minimal preparation of the teeth involved, then temporary restorations fitted the same day. You leave with a working smile, never with prepared stumps.
Days 3–4Changes are free
The laboratory mills your units in-house. You try them in unglazed, check shape, length and shade in daylight, and changes are made before final glazing.
Days 5–6
Permanent cementation, bite balanced and polished. You are shown how to clean around the margins properly, which is what determines whether the work lasts a decade.
Day 7Never skip this
A final check twenty-four hours after cementation, so any high spot or sensitivity is caught while you are still in the same city as your dentist.

Almost certainly not. Most people show eight to ten upper teeth when they smile, and many arrive wanting a full set when whitening plus four veneers would achieve the same visual result with nothing irreversible done to the other sixteen. We are paid the same either way, which is exactly why you can trust us to say this.
Not with a properly planned veneer. Preparation should remove roughly 0.3–0.7mm of enamel from the front surface only. The dramatic “shark teeth” photographs circulating online are crowns, not veneers — the tooth has been reduced on all sides. Ask any clinic which of the two they are actually quoting you for. We state it explicitly in the plan.
For a minority of patients with excellent bone, yes. For most, no — the fixture needs three to four months to integrate with the jaw before it can carry a crown. Clinics that place and load implants the same week for everyone are taking a risk with your bone, not innovating. We plan two trips because that is what the biology requires.
Your written guarantee covers materials for the stated period. You send photographs, the clinic assesses, and if it is a materials or workmanship failure the replacement is made at no cost — we arrange and pay for the return trip within the guarantee window. Failures caused by grinding, trauma or neglected hygiene are excluded, and we tell you that up front rather than in small print.
You go to any UK dentist, and you hand them the written record we give you — materials, batch numbers, cement type, tooth chart. That is the difference between a UK dentist being able to help you in twenty minutes and having to guess. Call your coordinator at the same time so we can speak to your dentist directly if needed.
Yes, and you should insist on seeing the certificates. Our partner labs use the same branded zirconia blocks, e.max blocks and implant systems used in London practices. Ask any clinic for the brand and lot number of what they are putting in your mouth; a good one produces it without hesitation.
Only if you ask for a fake shade. A natural result is usually one to two shades brighter than your current teeth, with translucency at the edges and a slight variation between teeth. If you want the uniform bright white you have seen online, we will make it — but you will be told, in writing, that it will read as dental work.
Soft foods for the first forty-eight hours after final cementation, then normally. Long-term, avoid opening things with your teeth and use a night guard if you grind — that single habit is the most common cause of veneers failing early, and we include a guard where indicated.
